ARTivism Today: Artivist Connecting Social & Environmental Activism with Heritage and Community

Due to rapid global change environmental issues like climate change, pollution, and food and water insecurity, can no longer be siloed from the social impacts they create. Systemic inequality in underserved communities often see amplified effects of environmental impacts. Unity and inclusion are our only path forward for understanding the social impacts of environmental issues and our best chance to create effective solutions. Activists, cultural influencers, and community members alike are looking to right wrongs, by exploring and speaking out about the specific effects of and potential solutions for social-environmental impacts in diverse communities.

In the arts and culture world, a growing movement of artists are leveraging their talents to raise awareness about causes they are passionate about, reclaim their power, and push for change.

Hear from a panel of diverse artists and cultural ambassadors to gain insight on where they see themselves in the convergence of art and activism and how they connect impacts on their communities with global social and environmental issues through ARTivism.
