Street Wise Community Mural Projects are commission-based projects that connect artists with local communities, organizations, and businesses. Each public art project amplifies community goals, culture, or social initiatives while empowering and employing artists. Projects often include elements of neighborhood or community engagement, education, workshops, and community events.

A series of four murals commissioned by Niwot property owners, Alex Chlebek and Biff Warren with support from the local Niwot Improvement District. Celebrating the history of Niwot as well as the natural landscapes, flora and fauna of the local area, we curated four indigenous artists to create unique murals that spoke to the history of indigenous peoples of the area, including the Sand Creek Massacre, depictions of traditional life on the plains, an interpretive portrait of Chief Niwot.
A placemaking project commissioned by Friends School of Boulder. The Worst Crew aka Jaime Molina & Pedro Barrios created this mural to represent the values and mission of the school community including elements that reflect the soul of the school and students. The design was informed by a series of community engagement techniques and input from the students, parents and teachers.
Mural commission for the NoBo Art District located at 4949 Broadway in the Emerald Warehouse District. This mural serves as a “Welcome Mural” for the north entrance into the NoBo Art District. Project support from the City of Boulder’s Office of Arts & Culture. The artist, Jason Graves, was selected through an open call for his unique interpretation of the vibrant and diverse feel of North Boulder.
