Street Wise Arts is looking for young artists (ages high school - college) to be part of our mural making workshop during our annual Street Wise Mural Festival. Guided by local artist, Joseph Jimenez, participants will learn the ins and outs of creating a mural, while deepening their consideration of place, history and social impact when creating murals in the public realm. Students will learn the mural making process from design to installation over 6 class days. The workshop will begin Sat Sept. 17th and culminating during the 2022 Street Wise Mural Festival the weekend of October 1st.
Workshop Tuition $200. Limited full and partial scholarships available upon request

Day 1 (Saturday, Sept 17th): Introduction to project (10am-12pm)
Day 2 (Saturday, Sept. 18th): Brainstorming (10am-12pm)
Day 3 (Saturday, Sept 24th): Finalize Design (10am-12pm)
Day 4 (Wednesday, Sept 28): Wall is prepped using grid system (4-6pm)
Day 5 (Saturday, Oct. 1st): Install/ painting (10am - 2pm)
Day 6 (Sunday, Oct. 2nd): Install/ painting (10am - 2pm)
