About the Artist:
Isaac Lucero is a Xicano tattooer and mixed media artist from Southwest Denver. His work comes from a deep connection to his culture, his family, his neighborhood, and the people who helped shape him.
For more than 18 years, Isaac has been putting his life and experiences into his art. He specializes in black-and-grey tattooing, pulling inspiration from graffiti, Chicano culture, and the stories and traditions passed down through his family. To Isaac, tattooing is more than making something look good. It is about telling stories, carrying culture, and creating something that means something to the person wearing it.
Isaac also strongly believes in giving back and making sure the next generation has a chance to create, learn, and express themselves. Through his work with Westwood organizations like In Lak’ech Denver Arts and Hecho en Westwood, he mentors young artists, works with youth, and gives his time to help keep creativity and culture alive in the community.
At the end of the day, family is what matters most to Isaac. Being a husband and father keeps him grounded and reminds him why he continues to create. He currently works out of a private studio in Arvada, Colorado, where he tattoos, paints, creates mixed media work, and continues to connect with and inspire the people around him.
Isaac’s artistry is a way to honor where he comes from, give back to his community, tell stories, and leave something behind for the next generation.
