2024 Arts Education Program
Location: Crawford Elementary School, Aurora, CO
Families at Crawford Elementary School joined Koco Collab to create three (3) murals 8’ x 8’ panels for the school campus.
Koco Collab met with the families during Culture Night to brainstorm and identify symbols to represent their various cultures and heritages of the growing Crawford community. Parents and students assisted with painting the mural panels.
The murals represent the following:
1. African-inspired panel for the families of African descent.
2. Asian-inspired panel for the families of Asian descent, with many families from Nepal and Burma.
3. Panel inspired by the Americas for the families of Latin American descent.
