2025 Partner Program Mural
Location: New Vista High School, Boulder, CO
Renowned artist Pat Milbery shared his creative journey with New Vista High School students during one of their weekly town hall meetings. Through an engaging presentation, he highlighted the professional milestones of his career, showcasing collaborations with prominent brands. His message was clear: it’s possible to build a successful career as an artist while working with inspiring and innovative companies.
Later, during Art Club, Pat connected with students in a collaborative session focused on designing a mural for the school. He listened closely as students shared their ideas and visions. Together, they imagined a piece that would reflect the school’s spirit and environment. From this exchange, themes like aspen trees, the school’s owl mascot, mountain landscapes, and the concept of “bringing the outside in” emerged. Words of encouragement were also woven in to foster a sense of belonging and community among students.
The mural’s uplifting messages beautifully align with Pat’s Open Hearts Collective initiative, featuring powerful affirmations like “You Matter” and “You Are Enough.” These words directly address the mental health struggles many high school students experience, serving as a daily visual reminder of encouragement, self-worth, and resilience.
