Street Wise Mural Festival returns September 26-27, 2025. The Mural Festival will install public art projects throughout the city of Boulder.
Street Wise Arts’ flagship program explores the intersection of art and activism (ARTivism) while centering womxn, BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and emerging artists based in Colorado and beyond. We bring together international, national, regional, and local artists to diversify our public art collection, putting Boulder on the map as a progressive, inclusive arts destination.
The Mural Festival will feature community programming including mural walking and biking tours, workshops, panel discussions, and exhibitions. Additionally, digital artists will activate murals through projection mapping and augmented reality.
Street Wise Arts will ask artists to participate through invitation only. We will not hold an open call for artists. Our artist roster is always open for applications.
2025 Festival Goals:
Install public artworks and execute programming that encourages conversations around social justice and community resiliency.
Support and empower a diverse group of artists.
Amplify how joy and creativity can fuel resistance in the face of an oppressive political landscape.
Inspire our community to come together in support of the arts and each other.
