Hollis & Lana

Location: 1083 13th St.

Mural Statement

Hollis & Lana’s mural (still untitled) responds to the interconnectedness of all of us. It’s botanical and cellular and inspires the viewer to consider how all things interact.

About the Artists

Hollis & Lana is a collaborative artist team comprised of Conor Hollis and Amorette Lana living and working in Denver, CO. Hollis+Lana have shown their work and produced large scale murals throughout the United States. Their collaboration was born from a shared studio, but most importantly, sharing a true dedication to the act of making. The create paintings, drawings, sculpture and murals, recently event combining sculpture and street art for their Crush wall.

“When we create together we speak through a convergence of our combined experience. We tell each other stories visually, starting with one of us making a mark. We take turns picking up the narrative until the individual work is resolved. The iterative process of our artistic collaboration, though filled with familiar tensions that attend any act of communication, is ultimately an act of trust, one where we both rely on a shared vocabulary to give and to receive without judgment or expectation.”
